In 2013, I was given a Nikon D3200 camera for Christmas. What I thought was just going to be a neat hobby--taking photos here and there--turned into something I love and am getting better at every day. I started out doing newborn and portrait photography, but soon found that I especially love nature photography. There's something about finding a bird hidden in a tree, or the sunlight hitting water droplets on a flower in the perfect way that makes me want to spend all of my time outside taking pictures. When I realized that I love taking pictures of nature the most, I knew I had to switch tracks. It was still just a hobby, until I realized that I wanted prints of all of my pictures. Then I thought, maybe others would like to see my photos and have prints and products for their own homes. That's how Hound's Creek came to be.
Hound's Creek Photos is named after two of the most beautiful things I've ever seen--my dog, Cassie, and the creek running through my back woods. Thus the focus of this store--capturing the natural beauty all around us.
